I created this newspaper prop as a favor to some friends working on a locally produced low-budget thriller based on an entry the producer had previously submitted to the 48 Hour Film Festival. Economic Impact Bar Chart
In 2004 the state of Georgia’s movie industry was dying due to successful motion picture tax incentives in Louisiana. Our Atlanta-based IATSE Local 479 worked in tandem with the Georgia Production Partnership to lobby for the Georgia General Assembly to craft a well-planned tax incentive to save the state’s film industry. Propmaster Shawn Gray introduced me to Production Designer Patrice Vermette for the production of three different hero books for this dark feature film starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. There’s truly nothing remarkable about this particular graphic other than the fact that it had to be made with cut vinyl.
