Ivy Appleton: Prop Widow

In the 1990s my friend B.B. Cherry developed a rather large Internet following devoted to her imaginatively clever fan faction spin-off of the Highlander television series. As her writer’s voice grew louder she decided to create an original story and self-publish.

As an actor and singer B.B. had become a fan of the performance quality of books on tape, so she decided to write her story for that format featuring herself as narrator and a few “name brand” actors as supporting characters: Anthony Simcoe (an actor from the sci-fi series Farscape) and Andy Hallett (an actor from the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

When she was ready to go to press she brought me in to produce the package art and to create advertisements for print and web advertising.
